Centerfire Event

Centerfire rifles, magnum handguns, .17, and .22 magnum caliber guns are not allowed on the Rifle or Pistol Range except during the centerfire event.

Discharging a centerfire rifle or magnum handguns at any time other than one of the designated special centerfiree events will lead to disciplinary action up to and including loss of club membership.

The centerfire event is for full members and probationary members only – not shooting members.  SCSC only allows the use of centerfire rifles and magnum handguns on these designated special event days.

There is a prerequisite for participating in a centerfire event: You must have attended a safety orientations meeting and have a special numbered sticker affixed to your SCSC membership card.

If you have not already done so and would like to participate in a centerfire event plan to attend the safety orientation meeting held on the second Monday of the month at the monthly membership meeting at 8:00 p.m.  You must bring your club I.D. card to the meeting and at the conclusion of the meeting have a special numbered sticker applied to your ID.

Any club member is welcome and encouraged to attend the safety orientations whether they plan on shooting centerfire events or not.

The center fire/magnum event will be held on the second Sunday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. during which time SCSC range safety officers will be present.

Fee is $5.00 fee for club members. This event is not open to guests.

If you have not attended one of the safety orientations you will not be allowed to participate.
