The SCSC Pistol Challenge is a fun but competitive event for pistols shooters, both center fire and rim fire. We host a Pistol Challenge Match on the second Saturday of every other month April through October (April, June, Aug, Oct) . Please see the club calendar for specific dates.

The format of the event is a triple elimination drag race with center fires engaging 5 hanging clays at 21 feet.  Two shooters square off head to head and on the start command they race to see who can be the first to break all 5 clays.  The winner moves on and the loser moves to a back draw to shoot again.  You are guaranteed to shoot at least 3 times.

The second class of the day is for rim fire pistols. The format of the event is a triple elimination drag race with rim fires engaging 6 steel 4 inch plates on a plate rack at 30 feet.  Two shooters square off head to head and on the start command they race to see who can be the first to knock over all 6 plates.  The winner moves on and the loser moves to a back draw to shoot again.  You are guaranteed to shoot at least 3 times.
