Club News

It was a dark, damp and dreary Saturday morning in mid-October but the glow of camaraderie and competition shown through the gloom as 12 intrepid souls braved intermittent downpours at our final Pistol Challenge event of the year.  Given the weather conditions, we shot the metal plate racks rather than the “traditional Hanging Chads” or clay targets.  By group consensus, we only shot the center fire event as competition and then devoted the remainder of the morning to a fun/practice shoot on the metal plates.  By all measures, a fun time was had by all……. AND NOW FOR THE WIN, PLACE and SHOW of the final challenge:

3rd Place goes to Wayne Inzerello

2nd Place goes to Paul Seplacely

And the Grand Champion 1st Place contender is………..    Chuck Bergeron

As always, thanks to all who participated and helped with set-up, tear down and RSO

(Chuck Bergeron, John Potter, Ron Gay, Pete Zack, Chuck McGrath and anyone else that I may have inadvertently left out of the mix).

This wraps up our scheduled pistol events for the year……  But Wait, there’s more……..  We are considering a final Turkey Shoot Action Pistol event the Saturday following Thanksgiving…..  Stay tuned and keep an eye on the club web site and special announcements to see if and when this special event materializes.

Until then, Thanks to everyone for a very enjoyable year for the pistol events.

Dave Gay, John Potter and Chuck Bergeron
